Privacy Policy
Updated: 11 October 2026 · Version 1.1
1. Who is responsible for your information?
EeziNess and the Eezi enabler family are developed and operated by Nasela Capital (Pty) Ltd (“Nasela Capital”, “we”, “us” or “our”). For purposes of the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (“POPIA”), Nasela Capital is the responsible party for personal information processed through EeziNess and EeziFinance where it determines the purpose and means of processing.
Privacy and Information Officer queries may be sent to hello@eeziness.co.za.
2. What information we collect
Depending on how you use EeziFinance, we may process:
- account information such as your email address and authentication records;
- business information such as company name, registration number, VAT number, addresses, logo and contact details;
- customer and supplier information that you choose to enter or upload;
- commercial and financial records such as invoices, quotations, purchase orders, statements, accounting records and supporting documents;
- usage, device, security and diagnostic information needed to operate and protect the service;
- billing and subscription information for paid services, although payment-card details are handled by the payment provider and are not intended to be stored by EeziFinance; and
- feedback and communications you send to us.
3. Why we use information
We use information to create and manage accounts, provide requested EeziFinance functions, generate business documents, maintain records, support Free-to-Core migration, provide customer support, secure the platform, prevent abuse, improve reliability and user experience, administer subscriptions, comply with legal obligations, and communicate service-related information.
Where you separately opt in to marketing communications, we may also contact you about relevant Eezi products, features or offers. You can opt out of marketing without losing access to the core service.
4. Information you provide about other people
EeziFinance allows business users to enter information about customers, suppliers, directors, employees and other counterparties. You remain responsible for ensuring that you are lawfully entitled to provide and use that information. Where we process such information solely to provide the service on your instructions, we act as an operator on your behalf to the extent contemplated by POPIA.
5. Automated processing and AI-assisted features
Some Eezi features use automated or AI-assisted processing to read documents, suggest classifications, generate explanations or help users complete workflows. These tools are designed to assist users; material business, accounting, tax, legal or funding decisions should be reviewed by an appropriately qualified person where required. We do not intentionally make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about an individual without appropriate safeguards.
6. Service providers and sharing
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with trusted service providers that help us host, secure, authenticate, process documents, send communications, analyse service performance, or process payments. These providers may process information only for authorised service purposes and are expected to apply appropriate confidentiality and security safeguards.
We may also disclose information where required by law, court order, regulatory process, or where reasonably necessary to protect users, our rights, or the security of the service.
7. Cross-border processing
Some technology providers may process or store information outside South Africa. Where personal information is transferred across borders, we take reasonable steps to ensure that the transfer is permitted under POPIA and is subject to appropriate protection, contractual safeguards or other lawful transfer mechanisms.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Users are responsible for keeping passwords secure, restricting access to their devices and promptly notifying us of suspected account compromise.
Website traffic measurement
On the public eeziness.co.za website, we measure page views, referral websites, campaign tags, device categories and clicks into Eezi products. The tracker uses no cookies and stores no browser visitor identifier. It does not collect form contents or full page or referral query strings. The server converts the network address and browser agent into a keyed, pseudonymous identifier that resets daily; raw addresses and agents are not stored in the analytics database. Visitor numbers are estimates, and are not used to identify people or track them across days or websites.
Raw analytics events are kept for 90 days. Reports are restricted to authorised administrators. We honour browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. Hosting providers may separately retain operational logs under their own retention policies.
9. Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain business and audit records, resolve disputes, meet legal or regulatory obligations and protect legitimate interests. Retention periods may differ by information type and by the requirements applicable to a user's business records.
10. Your POPIA rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete inaccurate or unlawfully retained information, object to certain processing, request restriction where appropriate, or withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
Requests may be sent to hello@eeziness.co.za. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
11. Information Regulator
If you believe your personal information has been processed unlawfully and we have not resolved your concern, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa. Information about the Regulator and complaint process is available at inforegulator.org.za.
12. Children
EeziFinance is intended for business users and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly invite children to create EeziFinance business accounts.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Eezi ecosystem develops or legal requirements change. Material changes will be communicated through the service or other reasonable means. The effective date and version at the top identify the policy that applies.
